XRCulture at the 3D-4CH Winter School
XRculture recently took part in the 3D-4CH Winter School, contributing to discussions and training sessions focused on 3D digitisation, 3D data management and emerging technologies for cultural heritage.

On Day 1, Marco Medici (INCEPTION) introduced XRculture to the participants. He outlined the project’s objectives and its ongoing work on AI-driven 3D digitisation and extended reality applications. He also discussed the development of an open middleware framework for cultural heritage. This presentation contextualised XRculture within the broader framework of the common European data space for cultural heritage, emphasising the project's commitment to supporting interoperable and reusable 3D content.

Later in the afternoon, Vangelis Nomikos (TALENT) presented Share3D 2.0, a key XRculture outcome. This session demonstrated how Share3D 2.0 improves the visualisation, sharing and reuse of 3D assets, providing practical tools for institutions working with complex digital heritage content. The presentation provided participants with insight into the platform's technical evolution and its integration within XRculture’s broader middleware approach.

Participation in the Winter School offered an opportunity to engage with researchers and professionals interested in the future of 3D in cultural heritage. We look forward to continuing the exchange and contributing to capacity building in this evolving field.
