On 7 May, Pixelated Realities participated in the Digital Europe | Ukrainian EDIH Summit 2026 event, organised by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. Inga Ioanno, Head of Partnerships and Communications at Pixelated Realities, shared the organisation's practical experience of participating in European projects within the Digital Europe programme, particularly the 3D-4CH and XRculture consortia.

During her presentation, she shared the journey towards participating in the XRculture and 3D-4CH consortia under the Digital Europe programme, from the 'Digital Heritage for Recovery' forum in Lviv in 2022, through to becoming a full partner in European projects. Key results were presented at the summit, including the digitisation of 62 movable heritage objects, the aggregation of 44 Ukrainian 3D models into the Europeana catalogue (with more than 50 additional models in progress), as well as the development of an XR scenario for endangered heritage and an MVP application for offline mobile photogrammetry.

Particular focus was given to working with challenging objects such as glass, porcelain and jewellery using photogrammetry and the Gaussian splatting method. In the context of the 3D-4CH project, Inga Ioanno emphasised the creation of an online competence centre for 3D in cultural heritage. This centre already offers courses, reports on the latest digitisation technologies and AI tools for working with heritage, as well as an algorithm for semi-automatic cleaning of Gaussian splats for transparent and semi-transparent materials.

The event took place within the framework of the Digital Europe programme, the national coordinator of which in Ukraine is the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Practical support was provided by the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development with the participation of GIZ within the project “Digital Transformation of SMEs in Eastern Partnership Countries” and the EUNITED EDIH initiative. Digital Europe is an EU funding initiative with a budget of over €7.5 billion, aimed at implementing digital technologies within businesses, public authorities and wider society.
